Reporter fired from Globo after 21 years on the channel launches himself into a new profession

The exit door indicated by HR can become the entrance door to a business, to a new life. At least that’s how an experienced television journalist saw her after the first blow of her dismissal from Globo.

Giovana Teles has just launched her brand of ceramic objects, Gita Artesania, with the slogan “authorial, Brazilian, with art and lots of love”.

“This passion, for me, was born during the pandemic,” says the journalist in a video. He says he wants to bring “nature into people’s homes” with utilitarian pieces.

Giovana was hired by Globo in Brasilia in 2002. Previously, she spent eight years at TV Verdes Mares, the station’s affiliate in Fortaleza. She left the Marinho family channel in April 2023, in a wave of cuts to reduce costs.

Shortly after, the journalist became press officer at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic. Furthermore, he plays the role of master of ceremonies in public and private events. As a writer, her writings have been published in collections.
