The musician recalled stories with acid and “daime” and said he had spiritual experiences with psychedelics

The musician Ney Matogrosso, 82, spoke about substance use for the magazine Breezein an interview given last Thursday, 16. In the conversation, he recalled his relationship with psychedelic drugs and also revealed that he had taken Cazuza drink santo-daime (ayahuasca).



“Cazuza was already very ill, it was around the time we started rehearsing his last show,” he said. “He said, ‘Ney, you’re so handsome, what are you doing?’ I said ‘Look, Cazuza, I’m drinking daime.'”
