A friend of Luiz Marcelo Ormond, a businessman who died after being poisoned with a brigadeiro made by his girlfriend, reported that the couple argued a lot and that Luiz was afraid to get married because of the division of assets. The statement was obtained from TVGlobo. According to investigations by the Civil Police, the motivation for the crime was economic.

“He said a lot that he was always arguing with her. He always told me that they argued a lot and everything. He was a guy who was afraid of getting married, which he told me, because of his assets, afraid of separating,” the witness told the vehicle.

His girlfriend was Júlia Cathermol. On social media, in April, the victim had even updated her relationship status to “married”. However, according to the Civil Police, the fact that Júlia knew that her boyfriend had given up on formalizing a stable union with her would have provoked her crime.

Rio de Janeiro’s civil police are investigating the death of businessman Luiz Marcelo Antônio Ormond, allegedly poisoned by his own girlfriend, Júlia Andrade Cathermol Pimenta, on the run. The case occurred on the 17th, when the two were seen by the security camera in the elevator of the building where he lived, in Engenho de Dentro.

According to the investigation, in the images, the businessman appears holding a plate with a brigadeiro. The suspicion is that Júlia had already poisoned the sweets to kill her partner. Luiz Marcelo was found dead, in an advanced state of decomposition, after neighbors smelled a strong odor coming from the apartment and called the authorities.

Luiz’s body was on the sofa, with two fans turned on, one on the ceiling and one on the floor, in front of the open window. The devices were turned on in Júlia’s attempt to mask the strong odor, while she remained in the apartment for about three days, next to the body of her boyfriend.

The autopsy report does not indicate the cause of death, but indicates a small amount of liquid chocolate in the victim’s digestive system. A powerful painkiller was also located at the crime scene. It turned out that Júlia, 9 days before the elevator images, went to a pharmacy and asked for a prescription for drugs.

Since the 20th the police have been investigating the causes of the businessman’s death. The police suspect that Júlia planned the crime with the gypsy Suyany Breschak, detained in Rio de Janeiro. She allegedly appropriated Luiz’s assets to try to obtain money and pay off a R$600,000 debt with the gypsy.

Júlia hired Suyany’s services so that men and family members would not find out that she was a call girl. She gave a statement to the police, saying that Luiz was alive when he left the apartment and that she did not know about her death. She is on the run and the police have published a poster with Júlia’s photo, looking for her whereabouts.
