Patricia Poeta says she’s in no rush for a relationship: ‘I’ll count on it’

The presenter Patricia Poet attracted public attention after a curious statement about his personal life. In an interview with Quem magazine she declared herself independent and self-sufficient.

She said she was under a lot of pressure to be in a relationship since the end of her marriage to Amauri Soares: “In the sexist society we live in, this seems to be an obligation. I work, I bank, I have my son, friends and there is no rush to put in effort just to please people. When it has to happen, it will happen! All in a natural and without pressure”.

The presenter continued: “I think your limit is when the entitlement of others begins and that includes deciding what you want for yourself. Whether it’s having a partner, getting married, having a child, whatever. I think when you learn to live on your own, if you know better, the person who appears in your life comes to add, not to complete. They are different things.“.

“I allow myself everything. I am a human being like others. The only difference is that I am in people’s homes, on TV every day. I don’t want to be in the position of being seen as different from others. Freedom is a gift! “he concluded.
