Timid Nemtsova and fatal Konchalovskaya: stars at the opening of the exhibition

In the center of Moscow, in a house built in 1875, on the territory of the former estate of Nikolai Skvortsov, a new art space has opened – SISTEMA GALLERY. A project aimed at promoting the Russian art market, discovering new names and popularizing contemporary art. The gallery’s first exhibition was the “Reflection of the Visual” project, located on three floors of the mansion. It includes works by representatives of different generations of Russian artists: Dmitry Shorin, Elena Kulik and Igor Kulik, Svetlana Chimitdorzhina.

The opening ceremony brought together the curator of the exhibition and founder of the gallery, Anastasia Volkova, as well as the artists Elena Kulik, Igor Kulik and Svetlana Chimitdorzhina.

The first guests of the exhibition were: William Lamberti, Tatyana Kotova, Dina Nemtsova, Irina Jovovich, Alena Chekhova, Ilana, Maria Konchalovskaya-Mikhalkova, Kristina Shapovalova and many others.

All the artists selected by the curator of the project and general director of SISTEMA GALLERY Anastasia Volkova work in oil painting, but their works are far from traditional figurative art. Drawing on the possibilities of classical technique and their own aesthetic and sensual experience, all four boldly experiment with visual image and semantic content, rethinking the concept of an easel painting in a new way.
