Singer Justin Timberlake gave his first performance after being arrested for drunk driving. The 43-year-old artist spoke to the fans watching him at the United Center Stadium in Chicago on Friday the 21st.

β€œIt’s been a tough week,” Timberlake told the audience, as reported by Page Six. β€œI know it’s hard to love sometimes, but you still love me.”

According to Justin, everyone has faced “ups and downs.” The statements, the first since the singer’s arrest, were released during the resumption of the Forget Tomorrow world tour.

The singer was arrested on Tuesday the 18th, after a night out with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, New York, for driving while intoxicated.

According to Page Six, when stopped by police, Timberlake stated that “the tour is ruined.” Now released, he will make a new appearance in Chicago this Saturday the 22nd.
