Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife, Georgina Rodríguez, have purchased land worth 25 million euros (R$144 million, at current prices) on a billionaires’ island in Dubai. The couple plans to complete construction of a villa to live in with their children by the end of this year.

Jumeirah Bay Island is connected to the city by a 300-meter bridge and, for now, has 15 luxury properties built in its space. The island also attracts attention due to its seahorse-like shape.

On site, in addition to the palaces, there is a yacht club, a luxury hotel, an event space, a gym and other attractions. The couple’s project is led by the real estate group Palace Luxury Living.

While completing another acquisition, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to play for Portugal in the European Championship. The star’s team leads group F of the competition with six points. The team’s next match is scheduled for this Wednesday, the 26th, against Georgia.
