Zorro is no longer the same: New photos of Antonio Banderas have broken the hearts of fans around the world. Do you recognize handsome?

Antonio Banderas (by the way, his real name is Bandera – did you know that?) was born on August 10, 1960 in the family of a teacher and an officer. He dreamed of becoming a footballer, but broke his leg and had to part ways with his sports career. But the very first attempt to enter a theater school was successful, and already in 1982 Antonio starred with Pablo Almodovar in the eccentric comedy Labyrinth of Passions.

The first frivolous role did not hamper her career: the real hypnotic Spanish beauty of Banderas provided her with excellent work. After starring in Robert Rodriguez’s Desperate (1995), the whole world heard of Antonio Banderas. The roles in the films The Mask of Zorro (1998) and The Temptation (2001, where Banderas and Angelina Jolie were filmed completely naked – very hot!) made Antonio the main sex symbol of that time.

He’s repeatedly topped lists of the most handsome men in the world, but he’s only been married twice – to co-workers Anya Lesa and Melanie Griffith. Melanie gave birth to her only child – Stella del Carmen Banderas Griffith.

Alas, at 55, Banderas remained single: Griffith filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Even before that, Antonio’s career had begun to decline: he wanted to try something more in life than acting, and so he tried his hand at directing, singing and winemaking.

Now Banderas lives in the English county of Surrey and very carefully chooses film projects in which he agrees to participate.

Recently, Antonio fans found out that a new photo with their favorite actor was coming out. In the satirical comedy The Official Competition, Banderas starred with Penelope Cruz. And his photos of the events presenting the film make me sad.

Banderas is 61, and judging by the dyed hair, he is trying hard to look younger. Perhaps one of the most attractive men of the 90s and zero thought that a mustache and goatee would mask age-related changes, but that didn’t happen.

As noted on the web, Antonio still gives photographers his signature piercing look – but, alas, he’s barely able to achieve the same magical effect as before.

What pleases and there is no doubt – Banderas remained a completely inimitable excellent actor in a comedic role. It remains to hope that comic talent did not deprive Antonio of a sense of humor and the ability to accept objective life changes without tragedies.
