The influencer Maya Massafera has finally shown her followers what her voice is like after undergoing vocal cord surgery. Before, she would only release records in a whisper or by gesturing. In the video posted on Tuesday, the 16th, the content creator took the opportunity to talk a little more about her recovery process and gave a prediction: ” [A voz] It will be ready in only two and a half months.”

Since her sex change, Maya has avoided speaking publicly as she waits to recover from the procedure. The influencer, who has also become a meme in humorous videos in which she appears to blow “silent kisses” to her followers, estimated the increase in the new statement.

“I think many of you already know, but I’ve had two surgeries on my voice. My last surgery was 15 days ago, so my voice is not ready yet. It won’t be ready for two and a half months from now, which is three months after surgery,” she said.

Maya also took the opportunity to describe how the entire physical and mental process has been since the transition and asked her followers to respect her time. “I have to go often, at my own pace. When I decided to transition, I wanted to go back into my mother’s womb. I wanted to be as quiet, as far away from everything as possible,” she began.

She continues, criticizing viewers’ requests to hear her voice after the surgery: “But I came back to reality, to the real life I had before, because so much distorted material started coming out of me that I preferred to slap myself and come and see myself.” (…) Not everyone, obviously, but there is so much demand to see if my voice is feminine enough that I decided to come here and slap myself again.”

In the report, the influencer also made a point of explaining that feminization surgeries do not define someone’s gender identity. “To be a trans woman or a transvestite, you don’t need surgery, you don’t need anything. And it’s the same thing. Anyone who is trans is a transvestite and anyone who is a transvestite is a trans woman,” he said.
