The Arbiter served the British royal family between 1988 and 2000 and worked directly with the princess. In an interview with The Telegraph website, the former employee, who is 83, recalled the episode.
At that time, the book Diana: Her True Story was about to be launched and the princess was nervous about the repercussions it might cause. This was because the opera was about the end of her marriage to Charles and Lady Di’s mental health at that time.
