Former BBC presenter Beccy Barr has died aged 46 from incurable abdominal cancer
The former journalist’s sister declared this last Monday morning (22/07) “Beccy spent her final days at St John’s Hospice, which provided the most dignified and compassionate care for her and her entire family.”
“Donations can be made to the hospital in memory of Beccy”the statement concludes. Beccy began her career in print journalism, but soon moved to London to be a presenter and reporter on BBC North West Tonight.
In 2019, after a 20-year career, she left journalism to become a firefighter and joined Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
