Last Friday, 16, the Venezuelan cyclist Daniela Larreal Chirinos she was found dead in the apartment where she lived, in Las Vegas, United States.




The former athlete’s body was found by American authorities last week, but the suspicion is that she had been dead since August 11. Investigations indicate that the cause of death was suffocation with food.

Autopsy revealed

The information is from the British newspaper DailyMail. Daniela Chirinos was 50 years old and participated in five editions of the Olympic Games: Barcelona (1992), Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000), Athens (2004) and London (2012). She did not win any medals.

According to the publication, the cyclist died of asphyxiation. The autopsy reportedly found food debris in his trachea.
