The young lady will wear a R$100,000 sustainable dress by designer Edson Eddel during the competition

Débora Gonçales has participated in beauty contests since childhood and intends to divide her career as a lawyer and social causes

Miss Brasil Terra 2024 will take place on August 30, at 10:30 p.m., at the WTC Sheraton theater in Sao Paulo. There will be a live broadcast by Record News. One of the candidates prepares a surprise.

Paraná representative Débora Gonçalves will wear a luxury dress inspired by sustainability. Kept under lock and key, all we know is that it was handcrafted from recycled plastic and will feature embroidery.

“I like to challenge my imagination with social issues,” says designer Edson Eddel, creator of the costume and known for his runway shows on Globo, Record and SBT. “I have created nature-inspired dresses and outfits for plus-size women and cancer patients.”

The designer underlines the importance of the host Silvio Santos in valorizing the Miss contests and the professionals involved.

“With the broadcast on SBT, she highlighted the work of stylists, hairdressers and make-up artists, rewarding the best looks, in short, giving visibility to everyone’s talent.” The channel broadcast the event from 1981 to 1989, with good ratings.

A law graduate and active in the sector, as well as a model, Débora Gonçales, 24, will wear five outfits in the national competition: three for the dinners, one in the preliminaries and another in the final, when the crowned winner will be announced.

“I am confident about winning. If all goes well, I want to dedicate myself to Miss Earth and intensify my work with social causes,” she says. “The world of missions has taught me a lot.”
