In 2022, Kevin Ford went viral when he showed off a backpack with gifts he received in recognition of going 27 years without missing a single day of work at Burger King. With the repercussions of the story, Internet users around the world were moved and made donations to the North American, who is now starting his own business: a food truck.

The news was shared through the boy’s social media.

“K27Y… Coming soon! Thank you! We are doing great things. I hope it will be a great success for me and my family. For my children, for my generations and for the community, but I just want to let you know who did it and made it possible,” he said.

Prior to the new acquisition, Ford had purchased a home earlier this year.

“I’m trying to get through this without crying, but I wanted to show you something, something that you made possible. I know it’s not a mansion, but it’s mine,” the boy said, showing off the property in a video posted on social media.

According to the portal Todayby January, he had already raised $450,000 (about R$2.4 million at current prices) through a fundraiser. In addition to the house and the van, he also used part of the money to buy a car and help his family.

In the video that went viral in 2022, Ford showed himself being gifted a bag with a mug, candy, pens, keychains and a movie ticket, as well as a slice of cake, for 27 years of service with no missing work.
