Despite the praise of some followers, many Internet users have commented on her physical appearance, highlighting how much thinner she would be. Since reaching fame in 2016, Maiara has undergone several changes, both in appearance and health.

The artist had already revealed that, at the beginning of her career, she had gained 20 kg in two years. To deal with this, she chose to have a gastric balloon inserted and subsequently underwent bariatric surgery, as well as liposuction and silicone implants.
