Pernambuco civil police have indicted singer Gusttavo Lima on charges of money laundering and criminal organization. The measure falls within the scope of Operation Integration. Now it is up to the Public Prosecutor to decide whether or not to report the artist.

New details of the investigation were revealed in a report by Fantastic, on TV Globo, Sunday 29. The singer’s defense denies any irregularity. Discover below the main points that led to the indictment of Gusttavo Lima:

Seizure of money

The police seized R$150,000 from the headquarters of Balada Eventos e Produções, the singer’s concert company based in Goiânia (GO). Also found were 18 consecutive invoices, issued on the same day and for fractional amounts from another of the singer’s companies, GSA Empreenggiatos, for PIX365 Soluções. According to the police, he is Vai de Bet, who is also under investigation.

In total, there is more than R$8 million for the use of Gustavo Lima’s image. According to the police, the seized cash and invoices are two indications of money laundering.

Sale of aircraft

Investigators’ trip to Greece

The report also focuses on the day of the launch of Integrazioni, when Gusttavo Lima, called to testify, and Rocha Neto and his wife, both sentenced to prison, had their assets and bank accounts frozen.

They were in Greece while the singer recorded new songs and old hits. Gustavo Lima was also celebrating his 35th birthday. The couple hitched a ride on the singer’s plane to the European country, however, Lima returned to Brazil alone. The suspicion is that the fugitives remained abroad. The singer denies an intimate relationship with the couple.

Gusttavo Lima’s alleged help to the couple led the Pernambuco court to authorize the issuance of an arrest warrant against the singer. The decision was revoked at second instance the following day.

‘Hidden owner’ of the bet

The investigation also revealed that Gusttavo Lima was considered a shareholder of Vai de Bet, with a 25% stake in the brand. The suspicion, however, is that the singer was already a “type of hidden owner” from before, according to the investigation.

In 2023, the company concluded a framework sponsorship agreement with the Corinthians football club, a case that led to another investigation in Sao Paulo.

In the testimony, a club advisor stated that the president of Corinthians spoke by telephone with Gusttavo Lima and that the director mentioned that the artist was one of the owners of the company.

“In one of the testimonies of the witnesses heard in the case of the theft of Corinthians valuables, it is mentioned that, at the time of signing the contract, this witness was informed by the president of Corinthians, that Vai de Bet would have Gustavo Lima as one of the partners” , said Juliano Carvalho, prosecutor of the Special Group to Fight Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo.

In the report, Corinthians stated that the case is in court and that it is no longer an issue related to this company.

Lima’s defense states that he is not a shareholder of Vai de Bet and states that the contract found shows that he owns 25% of the possible sale of the brand. It also said that the contract with PIX365 contained an anti-corruption clause and had been suspended.
