On July 28, Huma Abedin will turn 46 – who knows, maybe that day will she finally be released with Bradley? Huma was born in Michigan to Arab parents and moved to Saudi Arabia as a child. She returned to the United States in 1993 and three years later secured an internship in Hillary Clinton’s office. The whole Clinton family literally fell in love with her – Huma, who seemed so strict and quiet, turned out to be a carrier of the most precious human qualities that made her indispensable. Professional, executive and both friendly and caring, Abedin has become something like an adopted daughter for the boss – Hillary called her that!

When, in 2010, Abedin married politician Anthony Wiener, whom she met while working at the White House. Bill Clinton was the emcee at their wedding. A year later, the promising couple had a son, Jordan Zane. And then everything went wrong.

The fact that Wiener has a not at all pleasant habit of sending nudes to women from the Internet, introducing himself as “Dangerous Carlos”, became known almost immediately after the birth of a child. He got burned sending an unambiguous file to a student.

Huma endured, heroically came out in an interview and, as they say, saved her family. However, in the end, Anthony’s unhealthy tendencies fatally influenced Hillary’s plans to become president – she ran in 2016, and another part of the racy photos of Wiener that surfaced were somehow mixed with his correspondence. Huma could not stand this – the visor fell off, and the disgraced wife not only filed for divorce, but also took an active part in the investigation. Abedin locked herself in the sink, and it wasn’t until 2021 that she was able to speak openly about her divorce and what she had been through in general. She even published an autobiographical book, where she spoke with extreme frankness of the torment and shame she faced as the whole world laughed at her marriage. And this union was a test of Huma’s strength from the very beginning – a devout Muslim woman married a Jew, and that’s how it all turned out.

“I was madly in love with him,” Huma simply explains his incomprehensible willingness to forgive Wiener. A progressive, educated and intelligent girl (the Abedin family, despite their piety, adhere to secular principles and have never restricted their daughters’ freedom) first married at age 33 and was a virgin at the same time! The man, later dubbed a “sex addict” by the media, never even kissed her during their first year of dating.

“It was like I was in some kind of a bubble, I didn’t know who to rely on in my life,” Huma said, recalling the nightmarish time when more and more facts about Wiener’s ugly behavior came to light. revealed. And he admits that Hillary Clinton’s stoic behavior during the sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky apparently influenced her unconsciously as well. Abedin was paralyzed with shock and shame – and she was waiting for her husband to come to her aid, and everything would fall apart one way or another. “But everything exploded. He didn’t just break my heart, he ripped it out and attacked me again and again,” Huma says of her marriage.

Divorce from public persons is a complicated matter, and in the case of Abedin and Wiener, it is not yet formally completed, the lawyers are still shaking up the nuances. Anthony has served his sentence and now lives in New York, in the same apartment building as Huma – to help raise Jordan, now 11. The brilliant former politician is said to be completely broken by the way his life has turned out, and his one-bedroom apartments for rent are paid for by Abedin.
