November marks five years since the death of Gugu Liberato, 59, following a fall at his home in the United States. To honor the presenter, Record and SBT are preparing documentaries that collect his story.

On Record, the last channel for which the artist worked, the material was collected in the last two weeks. Names such as Sonia Abrão, Adriane Galisteu and Alessandra Scatena were sought to testify to one of the most beloved celebrities on Brazilian television in recent decades.

The material is expected to air in a special the week his death turns half a decade.

SBT is now finalizing the documentary for its streaming platform. “Gugu, Toninho e Augusto” will feature testimonies from family members such as Aparecida Liberato and his mother, Maria do Céu. Everyone will remember the family stories from anonymity to fame.
