Isabel Veloso decides to resume chemotherapy during pregnancy: ‘A child changes the whole context’

Isabel Veloso he used his social networks on Thursday 10th, to inform his followers that he will return to treatment chemotherapy during the pregnancy of her first child. The influencer has been diagnosed Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2021 and made the decision after the cancer spread again.

She explained that she feels very confident, despite the delicate situation. “A child changes our entire context. If it had been at the beginning of the year, immediately after receiving the news that I had six months to live and that I had decided not to undergo any more treatment, it would be different. Today, now that I’m a mother and I have a life that depends on me, it changes everything”, she began.

Isabel also said that she sees her son as her cure. “Today I can realize that Arthur is not necessarily my cure in the literal sense, but, in a way, his being here makes me want to live.”

She also stressed that the treatments she will undergo should not cure, but prolong her lifespan and do not pose any risk of malformation for her baby, but only of premature birth. “I want to see my son well,” he concluded.

Earlier this year the digital influencer was diagnosed with terminal cancer and entered palliative care. The disease, however, developed more slowly than expected.
