Television icon in Spain, Mayra Gómez Kemp, 76, had defeated two tumors

The Spanish presenter of Cuban origin Mayra Gómez Kemp died on Sunday (13 years old). He was recovering from a domestic accident that had occurred days earlier.

At home she slipped, fell and couldn’t get up. He was cold and hungry for 20 hours. She was saved by firefighters called by a neighbor who found her disappearance strange.

Mayra had been a widow since 2019 and had no children. On the TVE channel he won generations of fans with the program ‘Un, dos, tres… Responda otra vez’, a game show so successful that it was exported to other European countries.

The artist was also an actress and singer. In 2009, he faced tongue cancer that affected his speech. Three years later he was diagnosed with neck cancer again. He defeated the disease again.




In June last year, Mayra Gómez Kemp announced her retirement from television, where she became one of her country’s most famous personalities. I lived alone in Mijas, near Málaga, in southern Spain.
