Anitta said she was a victim of abuse when she lost her virginity at age 14. In an interview on the program A fantastic day with J Balvinthe singer said she knew the attacker and was ashamed.

“When I was a teenager, around 14, I lost my virginity due to the abuse of someone I knew. For me it was a mixture of feelings. I didn’t know how to react, I didn’t tell my family, anyone… I just lived with that for many years,” he recalled

“At that moment, I felt so dirty and unhappy and guilty. I had a picture in my mind, a dream, of what it should be like – and it wasn’t. I blamed myself,” she added.

During the interview, Anitta explained why she felt guilty about the abuse and blamed the structure of society: “In our society, we women are trained to feel that everything is our fault. It’s because you dress like that, or act like that …when a woman is abused, they ask, ‘What did she do to be abused?’

“If a boy cheats on a girl, [pensam:] “She wasn’t good enough for him, he was looking for something else.” If a woman cheats on her boyfriend, [falam:] “My God, this woman is dirty.” I think for us it’s always a position of underestimation and needing to meet expectations. So, that’s why I feel like it might be harder for us. There’s always a reason. It’s never the guy’s fault. We always do something for the boy to do it,” he concluded.
