The digital influencer Carol Souza discovered a tracker hidden in a gift sent by a follower. The object, a Teddy bearcontained a camouflaged AirTag device used for tracking. In a newspaper interview The globeCarol detailed the case and said the episode impacted her sense of safety.

“I received the teddy bear as a gift a few weeks ago from one of my most active followers,” Carol reported. “At the time I thought it was just another gesture of affection, but I had no idea what was hidden inside.”

Days later, she noticed a suspicious stitching on one of the bear’s paws, which led her to investigate the toy more closely, and that’s when she found the tracking device.

Given the situation, Carol has decided to block the follower and is considering the possibility of filing a complaint with the authorities. “I felt extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable. It was as if my privacy had been completely invaded. It’s a very strange and scary feeling to know that someone was trying to track me down,” she said.

The influencer says that since the incident, she has been more careful about accepting gifts from fans. He said that, over the years, he has received several items from followers, including luxury gifts and unusual items.

“I already received a set of cookware, a Bible and even a set of vibrators,” she recalled. The total value of these items is estimated to exceed R$150,000.
