Sandy’s boyfriend, who is a doctor, is accused of health insurance fraud; the case is being processed in the SP Court

Pedro Andrade, identified as singer Sandy’s boyfriend, was sued by SulAmérica Saúde for allegedly violating the health plan’s reimbursement system. Pedro is a doctor and the lawsuit was filed against his company, Instituto Pedro Andrade LTBA.

The story was published by Leo Dias and the Earth checked the process – which, in this case, is underway at the Court of Justice of São Paulo.

According to information obtained from the portal, between January 2022 and October 2024, the doctor’s company submitted more than 6,600 requests for reimbursement of services. The consultations cost R$2.7 million and of this amount R$2.3 million would be reimbursed.

Judge Edna Kyoko Kano, in charge of the case, decided last Thursday, the 31st, to grant urgent protection to determine that Pedro “refrains from issuing and splitting receipts and/or invoices for alleged services intended for beneficiaries of health plans marketed by authors, until further decision of the court.”

If you do not comply, there is a fine for each non-compliance in the amount of R$5,000, with a maximum limit of R$200,000. Pedro was given 15 days to submit his response.
