Preta Gil underwent a new surgery this Friday 8. The singer, who was diagnosed with cancer, had to replace a catheter due to an obstruction caused by kidney stones. In a video published on Instagram he reassured his fans and assured them that he felt fine.

Preta explained that she went to the hospital to reprogram the portable infusion pump she uses at home for chemotherapy. During the journey he felt severe pain in his pelvis and kidneys. The medical team requested a tomographic examination, which revealed the need for surgery to replace the double J, a type of catheter used to unblock the urinary flow between the kidney and bladder.

“I had the operation at 5 in the morning. I feel good, I have no pain, thank God. We have to suspend the chemotherapy, but nothing will change in the treatment”, reassured Preta. The singer said she will be discharged on Monday the 11th.
