The family of Sambista Arrindo Cruz, who died last Friday (8), in Rio de Janeiro, tried to translate the legacy left by the artist into words. “A human being above the curve”, “the best father in the world” and “synonym for work, struggle and love” were some of the honors made by Babi, Flora and Arlindinho Cruz, respectively. The revelations were viewed during a relationship from FantasticFrom TV Globo, this Sunday, 10.

She was dressed in white and hand in hand, Babi and their children Flora and Arlindinho spoke with the relationship. Sambista’s partner recalled how he met the artist and said he was grateful for his time shared with him. “A human being over the curve. I have all the time because we lived 4 decades. A guy who taught me to live my ancestors,” Babi explained.

For Arlindinho, his father’s legacy is in teachings and struggle. “A teaching every day. Synonym for work, struggle, love, love for samba, love for children, love for life, has always loved a lot,” he started.

“He was the best father in the world and very early, my friend. He prepared us a lot to face the world, the situations in the world, the adversities. Our best tour. Today we lose the best tour of the world,” said Flora.

The body of the singer Arrindo Cruz was transported to a truck by the firefighters of the procession to the cemetery of Jardim from Saudade to Sulacap, in the western area of Rio, where it was buried on Sunday 10. The Arewell ceremony was stunned by a strong emotion and by the presence of several artists who paid the last tributes to the samba master.

The Sambista, who had a farewell in the gurim format – with a special samba wheel, full of emotions, party and reverence, exactly as he wanted – was honored by fans and artists in a funeral that lasted 16 hours. The ceremony brought together a family, admirers and friends, such as Diogo Nogueira and Hélio de la Peña.

The registers show that, very excited, the singer’s wife, Babi Cruz, was supported by friends. Arlindinho also reached the cemetery to pay the latest honors to his father and told the press that the farewell ceremony was the way the singer asked, with “Court, Liberated Beer and Barbecue”.

“Legacy of struggle, work, love for Samba. My father has always been very warrior, worker and family. It is this legacy that he leaves. I prefer to remember it with our works, our shows. However, this is an extremely surprising moment, the passage of an eight -year suffering,” he said.
