Bolsonarian Regina Duarte was framed by the Bolsonaro government and will have to return BRL 319,600 to the public coffers after she is denied responsibility for a project funded by the Rouanet Act.

A publication in the Diário Oficial da União on Thursday (21/7) revealed that the special secretary of culture Hélio Ferraz has denied an appeal filed by the actress’s company on the accounts of the comedy “Coração Bazar”.

According to information released by Veja magazine, the technical area of ​​the then Ministry of Culture had already disapproved of the show’s accounts in 2018. The actress’s company raised R $ 321,000 for the show and, due to the decision, was forced to repay R. $ 319.6 thousand to the National Fund for Culture. However, the debt had not yet been collected due to the filing of the appeal, which was dismissed this week.

At the time, André Duarte, Regina’s son and company partner, told Veja that the showdown had been frowned upon due to an “oversight”, the lack of evidence that the monologue had been screened without charging tickets. . 2004 and 2005, as determined by the contract signed by the manufacturer.

Regina served as special secretary of culture in the Bolsonaro government, but spent only two and a half months in office, leaving after accumulating controversy and fatigue. Even after leaving office, she continued to support the government and even celebrated the changes to the Rouanet law which reduced the incentives for artists’ salaries by 93.4%.
