Preta Gil appears with her family in the first photo after surgery to remove the tumors

Entrepreneur Marina Morena posted a photo of her family visiting her sister, Preta Gil, at the Sírio-Libanês hospital, in São Paulo. “Much love and health,” he wished in the caption.

The image shows her father, singer and composer Gilberto Gil, his wife, event producer Flora Gil, and another sister, presenter and chef Bella Gil, among other people.

Preta, 50, is under special care after the 20-hour surgery between December 19 and 20, when surgeons removed tumors from his intestine.

The column noted that the artist was intubated for 2 days before waking up from the delicate procedure. This is the second time he has faced cancer. The first occurred in early 2023, in the colorectum.

Her only son, the musician Francisco Gil, father of her granddaughter Sol de Maria, accompanied the singer during her hospitalization. In a post he highlighted the constant company of his friend Gominho.

In the ‘Show da Virada’, broadcast on Globo, Ivete Sangalo paid homage to Preta Gil by singing one of his hits (look below). AX, the convalescing artist thanked her.
