Preta Gil leaves intensive care and shares positive message about treatment: ‘Double happiness’

The singer Preta Gil gave some good news to his followers and fans on New Year’s Eve. She said she left the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sírio-Libanês Hospital, where she had been since undergoing surgery on December 19.

“Loves, at the end of the year, I come to share the news that I have left intensive care! My heart is full of joy to have such special people by my side, who fill me with love every day and make me want to live more every day”, began Preta.

Along with the news, the artist shared a video of singer Ivete Sangalo, who, during her New Year’s Eve performance in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, sent a message to Preta asking for positive vibes from the audience.

“And the happiness was double: I received such a beautiful and generous gift from my beloved sister @ivetesangalo in Copacabana. I love you and I love all of you who send me positive energy every day!!!”, wrote Preta Gil, who curates a cancer that metastasized in August 2024.

After the news shared by Preta, Flora Gil, her stepmother, published photos of the family reunited in the hospital on New Year’s Eve. They passed by the singer, who is now hospitalized in a private room.
