The actress Larissa Manoela took legal action against a record company due to a contract signed by his parents, Silvana Taques and Gilberto Eliaswhen he was 11 years old. The deal with Deckdisk, recognized as Brazil’s largest independent record label, was signed in 2012.




The 24-year-old is seeking the annulment of a clause that establishes a lifetime bond between her and the record company, preventing her from releasing music on competing labels while she is alive.

In the proceedings pending at the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, Larissa claims that, being a minor, she was not aware of the terms of the agreement. He also claims that this situation has hurt his music career, as he has no access to his earnings and management of his business.

Larissa Manoela’s lawyer speaks

Patricia Proetti, the star’s lawyer, classifies the contract as abusive and highlights the lack of transparency in responsibilities. “This contract contains a lifetime clause, which is unfair, as well as silence on liability. It is worth noting that Larissa never had access to financial reports and never received any amounts from this contract“, underlined the professional, in an interview with Folha de S. Paulo.
