The singer Eduardo Costa is one of the artists who came on board the cruise”Holidays with Boiadeira on the high seas“, promoted by the country star Ana Castela. The event takes place on board the MSC Seaview ship, which departed this Thursday morning (9) from the port of Santos, in Sao Paulo. For 72 hours, the journey promises unforgettable moments for enthusiasts, passing through paradisiacal destinations such as Angra dos Reis and Búzios, Rio de Janeiro.

In an interview with a journalist Luisa Scavone from the With you!the roots country singer has found a balance between his musical genre and today’s modernized rhythm. Honestly, he confessed that he didn’t really like college country music when the movement broke out in Brazil.

“When this college country music movement started, I was a kid who had a certain prejudice,” he said. “Until one day I was at home and my daughter was listening to these songs. I spent some time watching her reactions and that’s when it hit me. If it wasn’t this song [universitário]country music becomes old music and we can’t attract young audiences.”

Eduardo Costa he also said that the creative process of the songs has also changed over the years. In the past, the songs were seen as true songs of love and sentimentality. Today country music is more commercialized.

“In the past, when people made a song, it was like an outlet. There was romance. […] Not today, music is now more sellable, people already think a lot about commerce. It brings together seven, eight composers and I think that’s really cool because they’re minds that think differently. Country music innovated and brought these kids,” he stated.

João Gomes is also on the ship!

The magazine even managed to exchange a few words João Gomeswho took to the stage of MSC Seaview on Friday evening (10).
