Movie star! Marcos Mion stars in a film based on his personal pain: ‘I get emotional’


Marcos Mion is the protagonist of the film “MMA – My Best Friend”, which portrays autism, a disorder from which his son Romeo suffers

This Thursday, the 16th, the film will premiere MMA-My best friendstarring the actor and presenter Marcos Mion. In the plot he is Max Machadada, an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter who discovers he has an autistic son. In the film, he used his experiences with his eldest son, Romeo, who is autistic.




In the film, Max Machadada meets Bruno (Guilherme Tavares) after the death of the boy’s mother. He takes custody of the boy and has to learn how to deal with an autistic child. The plot shows specific situations of those who live with this condition and explains the particularities of children with autism.

“The film began to take on more and more flesh as I recounted my personal experiences with Romeo. There are several scenes in the film that were borrowed from my relationship with Romeo,” he revealed. The information comes from Television news portal.

Then he gave an example. “One thing I experienced was that Romeo, when he was little, didn’t accept hugs. When I told this story, they really wanted to put it in the movie. Finally, he talked about the main message of the film. “I believe that the family relationship is the great core of the film, of the message I would like to convey.
