A lottery employee in Taguatinga, in the Federal District, was investigated in recent days by the Civil Police. The woman was accused of stealing a winning ticket from a customer’s Mega-Sena corner.




According to information from G1, the victim went to the lottery to collect the money – worth R$ 34 thousand – last Monday, 13/01, but was surprised to hear the participant say that the ticket was not a winning one. The cashier later retained the paper and said she would throw it away.

The customer informed the police that she immediately went to the house to check the numbers and confirmed that they had indeed been drawn. A police report was registered at the 17th Police Station, Taguatinga.

The employee confesses to the crime

The employee confirmed the crime in an interview with the police, but said she never collected the money. To make matters worse, he also said he had done something similar with another winning ticket from the corner worth R$400.

The woman has been fired and the owner of the restaurant is collaborating with the team. The company also says the employee should be charged with fraudulent theft.
