Eduardo decided to move away from the office between disputes involving the Bolsonaro family. Former president Jair Bolsonaro is the objective of the investigation due to the attempt at the coup d’état on January 8, 2023.

The parliamentarian denied to leave the country to escape responsibility. “I will not curl it, I will not submit to the exceptional regime and his dirty tricks,” he said. He also said he will dedicate himself to international actions.
