Gilberto Gil shared, with emotion, the impact of the support that his daughter, Preta Gil, received during the treatment of cancer. However, in August 2024, the singer received the news that cancer had returned, now in other parts of the body.

The artist stressed that Preta is very dear to the public, who, according to him, manifests himself in a collective movement full of affection. “This convergence of spirits aimed for this purpose of helping her, comforting her, being with her.
