The new soap work of Globoplay, Sun Warriors attracted attention in the first chapter by presenting a bold scene with Rosa, played by Isadora Cruz. A character appears in a moment of intimacy, immediately after an engaging dance of Forró with Josué (Thomá Aquino), in which it masturbates lies on a network.
The sequence was displayed in a significant and poetic way. However, Rosa is interrupted by her sister, Otília (Alice Carvalho)who listens to them out of the room. “Rose, it’s going badly, right?”, requests. Rosa naturally replies: “Wait there, girl, agonized.”
Information on the soap opera Sun Warriors
With a forecast of 45 landings, the production will have five episodes published weekly on the streaming of Globo. The Soap Opera is also broadcast on Globoplay novels (ex Viva), on Pay TV, daily at 22:40, with Replay at 6:10 and 16:15. On Saturday, spectators will be able to review the chapter on Friday.
Written by George Moura and Sérgio Goldenberg, Warriors of the Sun offers a more realistic and human reinterpretation of the Cangaço universe, breaking the stereotypes already explored in the Brazilian television drama. The story, set in the North -est of Sertão of the 1920s, is freely inspired by the trajectory of Lampião and Maria Bonita, without, however, to be a biographical adaptation.
A new north -est?
In addition to presenting a new approach to the north -est, a work tries to highlight contemporary debates on sexuality, identity and representativeness. “A soap work on streaming allows you to deepen sex and violence. And let’s tell this story a bit like life. If there was sex, why shouldn’t dramaturgy have?” state George Moura.
The proposal of the soap opera is precisely to break the taboos, showing desire and intimidation as legitimate parts of the life of the characters, without neglecting the emotional and social complexity of the portrayed period.
