The chef and the star of the cooking programs Anne Burrell died at 55 Tuesday 17. She died in the house where she lived in New York, in the United States, and the cause of death has not been informed.

“His light radiated well beyond those he knew, reaching millions of people all over the world. Although no longer with us, his human warmth, spirit and love remain eternal,” said Anne’s family in a declaration sent to the American CNN.

Food Network, a cooking station in different countries and where the chef became famous, has also issued a note of regret. “Anne was a surprising person, a talent in the kitchen, teaching, competition and always sharing the importance of food in his life and the joy that a wonderful meal can bring. Our feelings are with the family, the friends and fans of Anne,” said the television channel.

At the CNN, the New York Police Department confirmed that the police responded to a call around 7:50 am local time linked to the death of Burrell. The officers found an unconscious body that did not react to the stimuli. The investigation is still open.

Burrell fell in love with food when he saw his mother cook and the famous cuisine and host Julia Child. He studied gastronomy and worked in New York restaurants before making his debut on television and becoming a star of the food network.
