After two decades of bond with Rede Globo, Mateus Solano decided to end the cycle and seek new ways in his career. The decision was the topic of an interview with Podcast Selfie Service, presented by Lucas Selfie, in which the actor detailed the factors that motivated him to break the fixed contract with the issuer. According to him, the stability provided by long contracts can affect artistic development. “The artist must be unhappy,” he said, commenting on the need for new challenges and the importance of avoiding accommodation.
As reported during the chat, the end of the contract with Globo was seen alone as an opportunity to reinvent itself professionally. He stressed that financial predictability can limit the search for new projects. “If you have money every month, your job is accommodating,” he said. The actor considered change as a positive process, which requested a more active position in the face of market opportunities.

Although he left the station, Mateus Solano recently participated in the soap opera “their own”, produced by the same Globo. In fact, this participation was decisive in another important episode of his recent trajectory. The actor revealed that he received a proposal to join the cast of “Fatal Beauty”, Max’s production, where he would play the comic character Dr. Peitão. However, he chose to refuse the invitation after receiving a more advantageous offer to work in the Soap Opera Globo. The role was finally assumed by Marcelo Serrado.
This was not the first time that Solano had to adapt to new situations of his career. Previously, Márcio Garcia Lombardi had already replaced in two different works. First of all, in the “Maysa series: when the heart speaks”, when he assumed the role of Ronaldo Bôscoli. Subsequently, it was also chosen to give life to the character Zé Boninho, in the remake of the “School of Professor Raimundo”. These experiences demonstrate the actor’s versatility, which, as he explained, has always tried to positively face the challenges.
During the interview, the actor also questioned the success of Félix, a character he played in the soap opera “Love to Life”. According to Solano, the intention has always been to build a villain with fun characteristics, with the aim of causing reflections and fighting prejudices that were common at the time of the plot exhibition. He stressed that the public identified himself with the character because of their frank way of expressing themselves.
Felix, who finished the soap opera working as a hot dog seller, won the sympathy of the spectators. Matthew believes that the character was important to open discussions on various social topics. In his words, Felix’s success is due to the fact that he said what he thought, without filters. Therefore, even with the end of the fixed contract, Solano continues to be eliminated new projects and challenges in his artistic trajectory.
