The Junkyard singer David Roach died at the age of 59 after a fight against aggressive cancer that hit his head, neck and throat. The information was confirmed by the band’s official profile.

According to the declaration, the singer and co-founder of the band died “peacefully” to his wife’s arms in the house he lived. Roach had married Jennifer Michael about two weeks ago on July 19th.

“Tonight, this commitment has been made official. Surrounded by love for those who are closer to our hearts, we become Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Roach. It was beautiful and perfect. I am so grateful to be married to my best friend, my love. Thanks to all of us and made it happen”, the singer’s wife published on the occasion.

After the diagnosis of a spinocellular carcinoma, Junkyard opened a cross -country campaign on the GoFundme website. During the treatment, the musician needed a 24 -hour supervision and the bride moved away from work to take care of him, according to the declaration on the platform.

“Although they have requested assistance for health workers and full -time, the waiting period to undergo the processing and reception of approval is extremely long. This has put them in a terrible situation,” explained the organization of the campaign.

Among the treatment of the singer, the band also started a campaign to sell shirts with the phrase “fucking cancer”, with the aim of raising funds for medical assistance.

David Roach was one of the founders of the Hard Rock Band in 1987. Junkyard performed his release until 1992, when he lived a first separation. The live shows took place again in 2000.
