Actor and comedian Kenan Thompson, best known for his humorous “Saturday Night Live” and children’s series “Kenan & Kel”, has been selected to host the 74th Emmy Awards.
It will be the first time that Thompson will host the show, but he is no stranger to the role. One of the reasons for the invitation is that he commanded last year’s edition of the People’s Choice Awards.
Additionally, the Emmy has a tradition of hosting former “Saturday Night Live” comedians, including veterans Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.
Thompson has also been nominated six times for the award for his performances in “SNL” and the comedy “Kenan”.
The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, USA on September 12th.
