Marina Queiroz, 51 years old, eliminated from “MasterChef Confeitaria” last Tuesday (28th). With a controversial participation in the program, the pastry chef’s departure was celebrated by the public on social media. On Instagram, he spoke at length about his time on the Band’s reality show.

“They were intense days with a lot of learning. There was pneumonia, 5 kg less, sleepless nights, determination, discussions, recognition and every moment was part of this unique experience. I leave here stronger, more reflective and with even more desire to learn”, he began.

Marina also said that she tried to accept her mistakes, celebrate my successes and evolve with each episode. “And this is how I want to continue: always improving myself. I am immensely grateful to have had this opportunity. I thank all those who supported me in this journey: my family, my friends and my kitchen colleagues. With you I have found the strength to renew myself at every stage.”, he concluded.

Controversial presence

Marina’s presence in the program sparked controversy from the beginning. This is because the participant previously held the position of academic director at Le Cordon Bleu, a renowned gastronomy school that is a partner of the attraction. That said, a part of the public has raised suspicions that his connection with the institution could influence the judges’ evaluation, since Le Cordon Bleu is responsible for one of the reality show’s prizes.

Following the repercussions, the school released an official note clarifying the situation: “The participant has not been part of the Le Cordon Bleu staff since 2023. At the time, her work was related to the academic area and student services, and she did not carry out teaching duties at the institution.”

After being eliminated, Marina revealed in an interview with the Band: “It was a moment where I felt I had reached my limit. I can’t continue anymore,” she said. “I know that while I was competing, I would have done my best, but I felt like I had reached the limit of everything I could do for myself,” he added.
