The singer’s performance had a precise choreography and a grandiose setting
Camila Cabello immediately invented Señorita, using one of her greatest hits. There was a huge stage, with a wide staircase with many steps and many dancers. Camila, Cuban by birth, said she was “half Brazilian” in good Portuguese and sang Bad Kind of Butterflies. Before she made Used Do This, she sat at the keyboard, which was positioned very close to the rain, and chatted with the audience. She said that she loved Brazilian food, culture and music and that she thought the Brazilian people were the best in the world.
The lights were then dimmed for her to sing Never Be The Same, with a scenographic guitar and, in the sequence, Psychofreak, always among many dancers, who showed a precise choreography. The rain intensified even more and chased away some of the audience.
Shameless won a remix with a carioca funk. TikTok dances have been used all the time, but, contrary to some playback suspicions, it’s not possible to say 100% that Camila pleased Justin Bieber, taking advantage of the resources of those who don’t want to risk singing for real. She actually sang, at least most of the time.
But perhaps the best moment of the show was with the funk DJ Biel do Furduncinho took to the stage. For a moment, Camila’s show became a dance that enlivened the audience.
