Singer and actor Seu Jorge (“Marighella”) was allegedly subjected to racist attacks during a show in Porto Alegre last Friday (10/15), according to several reports on social networks.

The alleged trigger of the racist acts of the audience was the fact that Seu Jorge, before saying goodbye for the first time, had brought a young black man to the stage to play the cavaquinho and had spoken out against the age of criminal responsibility and the murders of other young black people living in poor communities.

According to the testimonies exposed on social networks, this led to cries of “tramp”, “bastard” and imitations of monkeys, accompanied by cries of “myth”, “myth”.

But there are also people who, claiming to be present at the event, claim that there was no racism, only whistles after Seu Jorge made an “L” for Lula with his hand and shouted “myth”.

The artist’s team was approached by the press and said they would not “comment on what happened”.

The show took place at Grêmio Náutico União, with the cheapest ticket costing R $ 500 on the day of the event.
