Rodrigo Constantino creates fake news against the Globo journalist and his nephew

A Jovem Pan commentator, Rodrigo Constantino, posted on Twitter on Saturday (11/26) a photo of Leilane Neubarth’s nephew wearing a cap with the initials CPX, accusing the journalist of being “an irresponsible leftist caviar”. And the result was like a dog whistle, causing several of his followers to attack the boy’s photo on social media.

The GloboNews presenter rebelled. “You are very short! I thought you were just fanatical and rude, but you are rotten,” he wrote, receiving the support of fans, who sharply criticized the attitude of the Bolsonarista.

During the elections, Bolsonarists spread the fake news that CPX was referring to a criminal faction, after Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva wore a cap with the initials during a visit to Morro do AlemĂŁo. “Lula visits ‘QG do Comando Vermelho’ in AlemĂŁo, RJ, and wears a cap that means ‘termite (partner) of crime’,” reads an image shared by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.

CPX is in fact the abbreviation of complex, as the favelas of Rio de Janeiro are called. And every resident of Rio knows this. The acronym is also used by the Rio de Janeiro Military Police official profile to refer to the compounds in Rio. It even appears in official Rio de Janeiro government documents, such as the summary of the 2023 budget guidelines law.

Fueling the fake news, Constantino, who lives in Miami, US, tried to turn people against the reporter for allegedly being irresponsible for sharing a photo of the child wearing the accessory, which has been sold by the company Junior Bordados for years.

Faced with the negative repercussions, the extremist Jovem Pan defended his attack and his lie, becoming even more radicalized.

“The left insists that the acronym only represents ‘complex’, and not the brand used by those who control these specific communities, i.e. CV Vale Tudo to seal, signal false virtues. And they still curse those who criticize the use of their son of the ‘fascist.’ Sad!” he wrote.

Recently, Jovem Pan fired two journalists allegedly at the request of Constantino, who lobbied the company’s management in a video posted on YouTube.
