Wife confirms ‘Power Rangers’ actor committed suicide

The wife of Jason David Frank, one of the original “Power Rangers,” has confirmed that the actor’s death was a suicide. Despite this, Tammie Frank complained that US news outlets such as TMZ exposed the suicide without context, making “incorrect assumptions” about her and the couple’s relationship.

The death of the artist, who was also an MMA fighter, was reported on November 19 by Mike Bronzoulis, who was his trainer, without disclosing the cause. Francis was 49 years old.

Stating that she would like to clarify the incident, Tammie Frank wrote a letter about the last night of the actor’s life, published by the American magazine People. In the text, she confirms that the couple intended to separate, but she assured that the situation has changed in recent days.

“My name is Tammie Frank, and my husband was Jason David Frank, who tragically lost his life by suicide last week. Although Jason was a well known name to some, we lived a very normal life with ups and downs, just like any other person,” he wrote.

“I was shocked and saddened as well as seeing the media turn my family’s tragedy into an exaggerated story. Since Jason’s death, I have been harassed online and I hate having my husband’s good name vilified,” she continued.

“I loved my husband and we were trying to work through our issues. His death was as shocking to me as it was to anyone else. The truth is, I had no idea Jason was thinking about ending things. Yes, he already has done. I had previously struggled with mental health issues and depression, but I never could have predicted what was going to happen that night. It was supposed to be a fun weekend and instead I lost the love of my life.”

He confirmed that the couple has been having issues. “We originally planned to separate, that part is true. However, that’s only part of the story. The part that hasn’t been told is, at the time of his death, we called off our separation and were in the process of getting back together.” Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had ups and downs and many problems in our 19 years of marriage, but this year has been particularly difficult for us.

She explained, “A year ago, my daughter Shayla, who Jason helped raise as a daughter, passed away suddenly. Jason was the one who found her when it happened, and the situation emotionally destroyed our family. Between losing her and helping raise her son, Jason and I started having marital problems. For anyone who has known the pain of losing a child, I know you understand how that loss changes things in your marriage.”

Tammie also said they decided to resume their relationship six weeks ago, after a close family friend helped them realize they still loved each other. That’s when Jason booked a two-day trip for the two of them, as a way to reconnect. They attended a country dance event, which they loved to do together. But even during that trip, Tammie said she chose to stay in separate rooms, with the excuse that the actor snored a lot.

She also said she had received a complaint from the hotel about the noise, but that the couple weren’t arguing, but were “having a good time and enjoying their time together.” “We danced and stayed at the event until the bar closed. When we got back to the hotel, Jason and I were having a heartfelt and emotional conversation in her room about him,” she said.

“To help Jason unwind and sober up before bed I went downstairs to get some snacks from the lobby. I must have been gone no more than ten minutes, I went back upstairs and started knocking on the door with no response. I knocked several times and he kept calling his name to open the door,” he revealed.

“I don’t know if it was the hotel employee or a guest who called the police, but after I was taken downstairs by the police, they managed to open the door and found that Jason had taken his own life,” she described .

He concluded by asking people to stop assuming what could have happened so that his family can be at peace. “All we want is to remember Jason and our happiest memories and get over the grief of losing a loved one. I only ask for sympathy and understanding during this difficult time. To all fans and supporters of Jason and our family, thank you for your kind words and condolences and may God bless you all,” he concluded.
