Los Angeles County revealed the official autopsy results of Anne Heche this Wednesday (7/12).
According to the coroner’s report, the actress passed away as a result of burns and inhalation of toxic fumes resulting from the serious car accident she suffered in early August.
The document states that the injuries were so severe that they prevented the body from absorbing enough oxygen. The injuries gave the actress an “anoxic brain injury”.
Until then, it was suspected that the artist was under the influence of cocaine when she suffered the accident that left her in a coma. However, forensic tests show that she was not under the influence of drugs when the vehicle collided.
Despite the information, the autopsy result accuses Anne Heche of having consumed powder and marijuana well before the tragedy.
As for the fentanyl anesthetic found next to the plaintiff’s body, the medical document indicates that the use of the opioid was “compatible with therapeutic use” and a consequence of the treatment she had received in hospital.
Anne Heche was hospitalized on August 5 after the car she was driving crashed into a house and caught fire in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles. About 60 firefighters put out the fire caused by the collision. The actress suffered severe burns and fell into a coma, never recovering.
Another forensic report revealed he was driving at 145km/h at the time of the collision.
His organs were donated shortly after news of his brain death broke.
