Singer said H&M launched a collection without his consent
Justin Bieber used his Instagram profile to criticize the H&M brand, which recently launched a collection using his image without his authorization. The star encouraged the public not to buy the items and said everything is “junk”.
“I have not approved any merchandise or collection that they put on H&M. Everything was done without my permission or approval, I wouldn’t buy it if I were you,” the star said in an initial message.
“H&M merchandise made by me is rubbish and I don’t endorse it, don’t buy it,” she said in the second text.
Page Six contacted the brand but received no response. On the other hand, in an email to the Daily News, they responded by saying that the process “followed proper approval procedures.”
“As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M have followed the appropriate approval procedures.”
Fans have also shared articles from the brand themed after the singer’s latest tour with pictures of him and took to social media to ask the brand to review what has been done.
