Actor Marcos Caruso (70) exchanged rings with nursing technician Marcos Paiva (55). The romantic engagement happened on Sunday (12/18) during a trip to Lisbon, Portugal.
The duo took advantage of a break from recording the telenovela “Travessia”, in which Caruso plays Dante, to visit the country. Also during the trip, they saw a local production of the play “Trair e Coçar É Só Beginning”, written by the artist in 1986.
In an Instagram record, Paiva shared pictures of hands with rings and the purported “yes” date. The publication was celebrated by friends and followers.
The couple’s relationship has never been publicly acknowledged, although Paiva and Caruso have been together since 2018.
This Tuesday (12/20), Caruso even denied marrying Paiva. He said the photo sent the wrong message, as they bought the rings at an antiques fair in Portugal.
“There was no wedding ceremony. We were in Lisbon to witness the success my play is having there and we raised our hands, with the rings bought in a feirinha in the Bairro Alto, and already the repercussions that there was a wedding,” she told Gshow.
However, everything suggests that some actresses close to the couple, such as Vera Holtz, Susana Viera and Eliane Giardini, were aware of the relationship. They also appear in photos with the duo on social media.
“I continue with the usual discretion regarding my personal life. We are very happy and, as far as possible and if we wish, discreet,” he added.
Before the alleged union with Paiva, Marcos Caruso was married four other times, is the father of two children (Caetano and Mari) and has three grandchildren.
In between marriages, the actor got together with actress Jussara Freire. They were together for 20 years but broke up in mid-1994.
