Created by musician Franz Xaver Gruber, “Noite Feliz” is a melody made for Christmas. On December 24, 1818, the Austrian priest Joseph Mohr asked his friend the organist Franz to create the music for a poem he wrote two years earlier and thus this success was born, which cannot be missed in Christmas celebrations.

The soundtrack is the result of the Portuguese version of the song “Happy Xmas”, by John Lennon. In 1995 the singer Simone composed the adaptation and recorded the song on the CD 25 de Novembro and thus the version known to us Brazilians was born.

Another song that certainly doesn’t leave your mind when it comes to Christmas is “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. Behind there is an ancient English tradition: where musicians knocked on the door of the rich, sang Merry Christmas wishes and received food in exchange.
5- Santa Claus is coming to town
The 1934 song serves to motivate children that they have to behave if they want a gift from Santa.
6- Christmas every day
Apparel Nova is a highly acclaimed and recognized Brazilian popular music group (MPB). In 2007 they released an album with Christmas songs and so, the most played song was “Christmas every day”.
