The ‘She-Hulk’ star reveals he suffers from a rare skin condition

British actress Jameela Jamil, best known for starring roles in series ‘The Good Place’ and ‘She-Hulk’, has revealed that she suffers from a rare disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. It is a hereditary disease that causes joint hypermobility, hyperelasticity of the skin, as well as making the tissues more fragile.

She shared the problem with her followers in a video posted on Instagram, where she demonstrated how her skin feels supple when she pulls on her cheeks.

“Jesus Christ, this is not an app, this is not a filter, this is just my face. Look how supple it is,” said the interpreter of the Marvel villain Titania.

“Even though some people prefer to make fun of my health issues, I want to spread more knowledge about this condition,” she added, noting that it’s an “extremely important topic.”

In the rant, he said this issue has become a joke. And that, due to the comments on social networks, she had to seek psychological help to cure suicidal thoughts.

“The internet has been teasing me about my health problems and making me commit suicide for a while. But they’re just a bunch of ignorant idiots who don’t have a cent of our strength, can’t imagine surviving what we are survivors, so they choose to enlighten us about all of this,” he said.

Jameela, who was also a television presenter and radio announcer in England before becoming an actress, has a history full of health problems.

Her medical record includes anorexia nervosa as a teenager—she developed eating problems at 14—and a hit-and-run accident at age 17, which broke several bones and damaged her spine. At the time, they said she may never walk again, but she was able to recover after treatment with steroids and intense physical therapy.
