Actor Alfonso Herrera has confirmed that he will not attend the meeting of the RBD group, formed in the Mexican soap opera “Rebelde”. While Dulce María, Anahí, Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez and Christopher von Uckermann prepare to return to music, with a tour in 2023, Alfonso Herrera has revealed that he has other priorities at the moment.
The final answer was given while he was at the airport on his year-end trip. Asked by journalists about taking part in the tour, he said: “I’m not going because I work”.
He explained that he’s scheduled for Netflix productions, so he couldn’t tour, but he appreciates his story and his time on ‘Rebelde.’
“It is a very important project, it continues to be very important and here is the result. What I can say is that it will be very successful. I wish them all the success in the world. I am happy to have been part of such a successful project. I am grateful and I will remain grateful, because, after all, my past has made me who I am today. But I feel happy with the plans I have right now,” highlighted the star.
Alfonso was also asked if the post he made speaking of a social cause was a provocation to the other members of the Rdb, when he said he was “rebellious for not following the others”. “Absolutely not. It was a chance to draw attention to a problem that exists, because people have a need. I think it’s a good way to use the platform to make people aware of a very complex problem that everyone can help” , clarified the actor, who is a UN ambassador.
The Mexican star, also known by the affectionate nickname of Poncho, will next be seen in “Rebel Moon”, sci-fi directed by Zack Snyder (“Justice League”), and in the comedy “Viva o Mexico!”, expected in 2023 on Netflix.
